A veces no valoramos el arte nacional. Me emociona reencontrarme con las molas, me identifico por que es de mi país, las he visto desde que nací y no deja de impresionarme el detalle y el cuidado con que cada una está hecha.
Conocí a Marbelia, trabaja enfrente de mi oficina, tiene un puesto donde vende molas y pulseritas y le pregunté si me podía ayudar con una versión de hongo Mushmellow en mola. Fue muy emocionante, me dijo "Tráeme el dibujo" y el resto fue arte de ella. El día que fui a buscar las molas y las vi dije "WAO!", las amé!! Dónde están? En algunas clutch, algunas carteras grandes y otras están por ver dónde y cómo las uso según me inspire.
Sometimes we take for granted our national art. It's exciting for me to rediscover molas, I've seen them since I was born, I feel connected because they're from my country and it's always impressing to see the care and details in each one.
I met Marbelia, she works in front of my office, she has a stand where she sells molas and wristbands and I asked her if she could help me do a mola version of the Mushmellow mushroom. It was very exciting, she told me to bring her a drawing and that was it, the rest was her own art. The day I went to pick them up I said "WAO!" when I saw them. Where are they now? In some clutches, some handbags and others are waiting for inspiration to see where I'll put them so they completely stand out.
